Confirmed building premise
The official Steam description says a shrink gun can turn desk clutter into building materials and gives chocolate bars, a glasses case and bottle caps as examples. Starside Homestead is the named setting used for this creation loop. PlayStation separately describes milk cartons, teacups and spice jars as building examples, plus blueprint sketching and modular object dismantling as planned creative tools.
Controls are still changing
After the Alpha, the developer discussed undo/redo, batch operations, search, filtering and alignment assistance as work for later builds. An Alpha control tip should not be treated as a final instruction.
